Festival days
Free on Saturday 8th. A celebration of Korean culture in the heart of the Mall of Tripla, the Yeppo Korean Festival. There will be live music with a dj set, a K-pop dance show, a Korean food cooking class, taekwondo performances, K beauty product demonstrations and other surprises.

Something essentially Finnish is the Hellsinki Metal Festival also on Saturday 8th in the Helsinki Ice Hall. Bands from Finland and abroad will play across 3 stages and cover the whole metal spectrum from death metal, to progressive to extreme and black metal. Big names like Opeth and Paradise Lost will be there on the day.

If more chill vibes are your thing, Puotila’s got you covered with their neighbourhood Block Party. Bring the whole family, there will be a flea market, circus, a musical playschool, live music and a dj set. You won’t go hungry, pizza and shwarma will be on site with a side of banana cake.

Off to Market
Vintage market at Teurastamo on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th. Sellers pitching their wares will have vintage clothes, art, home decor and Finnish design. In collaboration with Astrobar Huuhaa, there will be a live band and food and drink.

A hidden gem flea market this Sunday 9th August will be deep in the wilds of Vantaa, right in the Ikea parking lot. If you have things to sell or want to make a bit of extra cash, pull up and take a spot. Places go free to Ikea family members, or register ahead of time. Bring your treasures that are looking to find a new home or come hunt down something new.

Love by candlelight
On Sunday 9th, take in the atmosphere at St Laurence church in Vantaa. An evening focused on a music book of love, all played by candlelight.

Outdoor cinema
Movies on giant screens, both indoors and outside, all for free. at Malja. On Saturday 8th the movie is Footloose, and Sunday 9th is I wanna dance with Somebody. Get there early enough to take your seat; there are no reservations, first come, first served! Chill on the terrace or relax indoors. Get drinks, get food and spend your evening the best way.
